Building an inclusive and positive community of anglers through education, outings, and conservation projects.

There is a need in the Blaine County Community for an inclusive place that provides friendly education to anglers of all backgrounds and economic levels.

Our local rivers and lakes are under more pressure than ever with climate change and an increase in population. Because of the absence of education and resources for a large portion of our local population, anglers are inadvertently causing unnecessary harm to our waters. Our goal is to appeal to local minority groups - especially women, the immigrant community, and low income community members - to facilitate educational opportunities and provide community outreach programs that help reduce the barriers to entry for our underserved minority population in Sun Valley and neighboring Blaine County towns.

SPANISH SPEAKING board member needed

Are you looking for an opportunity to make a positive contribution to our community? We are currently looking to add a board member who is fluent in speaking and writing Spanish with the goal of making our educational materials, events, and announcements accessible to more members of our community. Please reach out to us directly if you or someone you know is interested.

As with all of our board positions, this is a volunteer (unpaid) position and would require a couple of hours per week.

Upcoming events

We hold fly tying classes once a month during winter, educational classes held on an as-needed basis, conservation events once a quarter, and social & fishing events at least once a quarter in the winter and twice a month in peak fishing months. We’d love to have you join us!
