reel kids: school of trout 2024

In 2024, we successfully launched our first Kids Camp program, welcoming 12 children aged 9-13 from the Wood River Valley. The three-day camp, held at the end of June, provided an immersive experience designed to inspire and educate the next generation. Over the course of 8 months, we set out with an $8,000 fundraising goal to bring this vision to life. Thanks to the incredible support from local community members, businesses, and generous product donations from renowned companies, we surpassed our goal, raising $9,317. This allowed us to not only host a successful camp but also offer scholarships to every child selected, ensuring that financial barriers didn't stand in the way of their participation.

Additionally, 18 local volunteer educators and guides generously donated over 200 combined hours during the three days, making the camp both educational and enriching for the participants. Their dedication and expertise played a crucial role in the success of the program.

At the end of camp, each kid was sent home with a postcard and we asked them to write to us and tell us their favorite memory of the week. Below are some of our favorites!
